E-mail marketing, with 92% of the U.S. internet users sending and reading e-mail, according to Pew Internet and American Life Project, it’s a no brainer.
Right? Yes and no. E-mail marketing no longer reaches your audience the way it used to. People used to sit at their Gateway desktops every night, dial into their Netscape and check e-mails while watching Family Matters.

I don’t know what it is about Marketing, but everyone on earth seems to think they can do it. And yet I see so many people NOT doing it or wasting thousands of dollars and not getting results. I see business owners try the same things over and over,
wasting more money, more time, and more energy. If I had 1/10th of what business owners waste on stuff that doesnt work, I’d be the most successful marketing consultant on the planet. For many SEO and online marketing campaigns, a major stumbling block is when clients have unrealistic expectations regarding the outcome of their campaigns. Most SEO experts are responsible for helping the client understand all areas of the campaign to manage their expectations even before the real work begins.
While many clients may be surprised to hear this, SEO clients also have responsibilities that they need to meet in order to help their SEO company to get things done effectively and consistently.

Small business marketing, sigh. In the past it was easy, take out a yellow page ad and you were done. Well times they have changed and small business marketing is now a million moving parts that all have to be working together to make a whole campaign.
In this day of always on internet (remember when you had to log in and out and only got 1 hour a day), consumers are researching your company or product extensively before they are willing to give you their hard earned money. They are checking to see if you have good reviews on Yelp, seeing what your Facebook page looks like and if you talk there. Some like Twitter and tweet you first to see if you are a real person.

Realtor marketing question – should you be unfriending your real estate clients on Facebook? This week we got A LOT of questions asking about a post that one person had written, suggesting that if you have friends on Facebook you could be, scary music sounds go here, ruining your real estate career and putting your license at danger of being revoked.
